Many of our patients ask the difference between the two and which therapies they should be doing? Passive therapies are utilized in new injuries and flare ups of chronic injuries. Passive therapies are meant to be used in the short term. Your body will heal up faster and stronger if we are able to utilize the active therapies in our office compared to passive. Active Therapies your body is in motion and your are strengthening tissues, Passive Therapies , like electric muscle stim, your body isn’t strengthening or getting as much of a benefit.
